***Please call the Call Manager a minimum of seven days in advance to schedule service requests.  The earlier you call, the easier it is to serve you. 

*Please stay up to date on both your Covid booster vaccines and flu shot.  Contact your health care provider for more information.
  


A reminder that MY Neighbors will close at noon on Tuesday, December 24th and will be closed on the 25th for Christmas Day. We will also close at noon on December 31th and on January 1st for New Year's Day. Happy holidays to all!

*More of us are aging alone.  We need one another and local connections like MY Neighbors are key.    

*WAMY Community Action is now offering housing repair and weatherization services. Call 828-264-2421 for further details.

*The AMY Regional Library System now has a Digital Literacy Librarian to assist you with technical issues.  You can drop in with your device at the Spruce Pine Library from 3-5pm on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month.  Or call the Digital Literacy Librarian Jennifer Sword at 828-682-4476.

*Check out the Positive Aging website for access to hundreds of podcasts, programs, news and events related to aging successfully.

*First Baptist Church in Burnsville has a medical equipment loan closet serving Yancey County. Call the church office at 828-682-2288 for further details.

Hours of Operation: The virtual office is open Monday-Friday from 9 am-5 pm.  If you call when a Call Manager is not on duty you can leave us a voicemail or send us an email.  The virtual office is closed on the following holidays: 

New Year’s Day                                                 Veterans Day 
Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday                      Thanksgiving and “Black Friday” (the Friday after Thanksgiving) 

Memorial Day                                                     Christmas Eve, we close at noon

Juneteenth                                                         Christmas Day                              

Independence Day                                             New Year’s Eve, we close at noon     
Labor Day 


We do not schedule services on holidays and there will not be a Call Manager on duty.
